Our Work Groups support the development of Teaching for Mastery at secondary (and Post-16) with NCETM programme of funded professional development activities (those at Level 3 in association with The AMSP).
Each of our Work Group projects are delivered via a collaborative research-based, shared-learning approach.

Specialist knowledge for teaching mathematics for your school's maths department
We are pleased to announce that our hub has been chosen to be part of an EEF trial for 2025/26 which will look closely at the impact of this programme.
There are significant numbers of people teaching maths in secondary schools without specialist initial teacher training. This programme supports non-specialist teachers in developing the specialist knowledge (the blend of subject knowledge and pedagogical knowledge) required for teaching maths.
It is designed to take place over the equivalent of six days.
